Interview // Marco Scaiano

Marco Scaiano has lived and worked in Berlin since 2014 and started his fashion design studies at Niederrhein University in 2010. His work is known for pushing the boundaries if gender, with feminine touches in the notably masculine style.

Minimal in aesthetic and pattern, finding inspiration in modern architecture and put it into structured layered pieces with clean lines.



1. What are your life essentials--What do you carry with you at all time?

- A „Sigg“ bottle with cold water, an adventure book, my smatphone

2. Who was your most previous text/call to and what about?

- Email from AA-Collected with nice interview-questions

3. Last meal you would eat?

- Homemade Pizza from my dad with a glass of red wine

4. Most influential person in your life?

- For sure my mom

5. Tried and true methods against creative block?

- Perfect is jogging to clear the mind. If nothing helps, stop working for a day - the next day the creative vibe will be back.





6. What are some inspiration things, designs, artists, music, sites that you find yourself re-vistiting
often?

- I love to travel and getting inspired by the architecture. Thats the main source of my inspiration.
- My favorite blogs I‘m checking out every week are inagblog.com and visobs.co

7. If you could have 3 people over for dinner, dead or alive, who would you invite?

- Young Madonna (the 80s version), Angela merkel, Andy Warhol - Sounds like a funny evening 

8. Favorite cities? Why? 

1. London - Can‘t put it into words, just amazing
2. Berlin - It‘s home, crazy, beautiful, and funny
3. Florence - Just one of the most beautyful cities I‘ve ever seen.

9. Favorite drinks?

- Whiskey sour

10. Likes/dislikes? (just a short list, one word answers)

Likes: Good food, Humor, Summer, Water, Architecture, The smell of scooters in the summertime, Cultueres
Dislikes: latecomers, Meat, Lightless rooms
