SS19 BERLIN FASHION WEEK

Despite the craziness of our own events and working in the AA-store, our team could not miss this years SS19 Berlin Fashion Week! We are thankful to have been invited to attend the runways, trade shows, and parties!

MARINA HOERMANSEDER

The five year old brand, Marina Hoersmanseder, continued to send unique and bold pieces down the runway earlier this July. With buckling detail, and interesting and bold shapes, Marina delivered a cool balance of art and wearability.

HI ON LIFE

HI ON LIFE, by Malin Busck, is the winner of this year’s The Rebelpin Fashion Award at BFW. The theme this year was “Light in the Night.” The brand is based in Sweden and is created closely with local tailors and artisans, which aid in their core value of sustainability.

IVANMAN

IVANMAN SS19 collection had a cool mix of playful business-wear that was amplified through color and pattern. The pieces seemed to bring to life this sort of juxtaposition of the typical business-wear pieces.

HUGO BOSS

HUGO BOSS’s show attributed the 90's Berlin techno and rave scene and consisted of a cool-tone color palate as well as some strong black. Both mens and womenswear were shown together on more androgynous looking models.

DAWID TOMASZEWSKI

Dawid Tomaszewski recent collection titled "Liquids" was not only playful with color but also in silhouette and fabric selection. The visor and oversized gloves were a cool motif throughout. This collection continues to show David’s experimental nature.

WILLIAM FAN

With a minimal color palate, William Fan showed a nice mix of wear-ability yet enticing silhouettes. The reference to his European Asian roots are clearly prevalent without being in your face. The silhouettes tended to be more drapy and long with some really nice cinching details. The range of model diversity in age and race was very nice and didn't seem forced.

MARCEL OSTERTAG

Marcel Ostertag’s SS19 collection was inspired by his muses and the 70’s. Lots of statement colors, especially yellow. The giant clips in every model’s hair definitely added a key element into each look’s completion. Without it, I think the vibe would have been different.
