Better late than never, the lovely team from Riga Fashion Week hosted us back in October, we thoroughly enjoyed our time in the picturesque city and such a great preview of their local fashion talent!!

KULT was created by the design concept store BOLD. The first collection by KULT signifies a woman who stands above the traditional cults in society and creates a cult around herself, her personality and her own style. The collection combines daring outfits – athletic style with fragile details and fine embroidery. The woman who is not afraid to take risks is designed by the team of Karline Anete Naglina, Krista Birmane and Beate Stivrina.
With her mind committed to the for the new sartorial forms, combining sophisticated tailoring and innovative materiality, and her soul devoted to the craftsmanship of garment-making, Lena Lumelsky deploys both of the mediums to create an empowering wardrobe for the contemporary woman. The collection was offset by a super collaboration with local show designer Elina Dobele.
Designer Dace Krieviņa – Bahmane is a Fashion Design graduate of Art Academy of Latvia, and currently working as a fashion editor for the international magazine Cosmopolitan. The collection simple and easy with natural fabrics, clean lines and slight sporty elements that we would have liked to seen enhanced with different footwear.
Love it or hate it the Nóló show was definitely a talking point, the brand played host to a collaborative fashion show with the world-renowned restaurant chain McDonald’s. Sending sleepy bed haired models down the catwalk, clutching coffees or fries from the fast food giants, the idea was fun and watchable. The key components of the collection become the ‘edible' prints on fabrics and t-shirts, bringing lightness and playfulness into any summer wardrobe, to make life more delicious!
Latvian fashion mainstays One Wolf presented their collection “REPAIR 2” with a story about the hard working masters. A collection dedicated to the craftsmenship in various professions – to all handymans with the “golden hands”. Classic wearable styles with cool styling (like actual gold painted hands).
For this collectdion the designer, Indra Komarova was refreshingly inspired by Latvia and Latvians. Strong military aesthetic in precise silhouettes with thoughtful details like a the Hawaiian style print that combines images of Latvian plants and birds.
